Thoughts
Is this the same wonderful John Downer who was the most talented Sound Editor I’ve ever met. I wanted him to speak at an RTS Event about Sound, but sadly he was always too busy. I was watching ‘Midsomer Murders’ today and the Sound Editing was so creative and nuanced and sure enough there was his name on the credits. I’m unwell myself now, but I have never forgotten John Downer and if this is the same John Downer I would like to make a donation in his memory. Rosemaryjsmith2004@yahoo.Co.uk

You can shed tears that he has gone or
you can smile that he has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that he
will come back or you can open your eyes
and see all that he has left.
Your heart can be empty because you cant
see him or you can be full of love that you
have shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live
yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow
because of yesterday.
You can remember him and that he has gone
or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty
and turn your back or you can do what he
would want, smile, open your eyes, love and
go on.

Dearest husband
Your life was a blessing
Your memory a treasure
You are loved beyond words
and missed beyond measure.
We all have different journeys
different paths along the way
We are all meant to learn some things
but never meant to stay.
When the journey finally ends
we will claim a great reward
and find everlasting peace
together with the Lord.
